Club nights are on Wednesday nights from October to end of March, at the All Weather Track, in the Colin Pugh Sports Bowl, Masterton.
We start at 5:45pm and run until 7:15pm, with younger children free to leave as early as they require.
Athletes are split into age groups (dependent on numbers) and an age-appropriate program is run for each group.
For 6 years and under (Nippers) the emphasis is on fun and basic skills.
For most other age groups a program will run consisting of 4 different events:
1 throwing event
1 jumping event
2 running events - 1 short, 1 middle distance
There are 4 different programs, so the cycle of events is 4 weeks long, and repeats throughout the season.
For Seniors/Masters the program will be based around the requirements of the athletes. Senior athletes can train on Tuesdays and Thursdays 4.30-6pm. You are always welcome to come down and have a go and borrow any equipment.
